Taken from my back yard, I added Kim Klassen's Autumn Burst texture to the photo.
Hello October,
We love you! Beautiful sunny days, cool crisp nights. That is what we have in store for us for at least the next week. We are having a warm spell here in southern Minnesota. The highs will be in the 80's and the lows in the 50's. It seems that summer continues, until you look at the trees.
Almost overnight they have turned into warm yellows, fiery orange and red, with just enough green around to really make the other colors stand out. Most of the oaks are starting to turn a warm brown color and some leaves are already falling. We will enjoy this lovely gift from mother nature!
I ran across this quote the other day, I think it sums up my feelings pretty well.
Autumn truly is what summer pretends to be:
The Best of all Seasons.
...George Eliot
I agree - Fall is the best of all seasons! Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteI love these gorgeous photos and the quote by George Eliot, I may be 'borrowing' it! Autumn is my favorite time of year. xo,
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic autumn shots, you have a spectacular fall there. I love that path across the lake, I'd just have to cross that if I was there. And as clumsy as I am I'd probably fall in the water with all my camera gear!
ReplyDeleteYour photo is beautiful! These all make me so, so excited for this beautiful month :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! Thanks x your sweet comments!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, autumn is a wonderful season. I also love all the yellow and red leaves, I never tire looking at them. Your photos are so, so stunning!
